First Week in July
The July 3 Full Moon is the first Full Moon after the summer solstice. Native people in the US called this the Buck Moon, Thunder Moon or Hay Moon. Earth reaches aphelion July 4/5, it's farthest point from the Sun- about 3 million miles farther from the Sun than 6 months from now.
