The Dec. 10, 2011 total lunar eclipse (18 Gemini) sensitized the longitude of Rio de Janeiro. Both the Sun-Moon eclipse axis and the Moon's fateful Nodal axis aligned with the local meridian there. As a midpoint picture we have: Midheaven = 16 Sagittarius = Sun/North Node 16 Sagittarius = Ascendant 16 Pisces. Mars (in Virgo) will square and possibly trigger the eclipse degree twice more because of it's retrograde motion. These dates are Feb. 21 and June 8.

Of course, if this eclipse hit a natal planet or angle in a personal horoscope, the activation of the eclipse degree by Mars may be a timing factor.
