Flood and Mud in SoCal

Pluto is wreaking havoc in the Los Angeles area, where severe flooding and mudslides have overwhelmed local communities. At the Solstice Eclipse, Pluto was spot on the IC(4th house cusp) of land, homes, and foundations- and exactly square the eclipse Ascendant which signifies the health and well-being of LA and it's residents. Extreme events, crisis, and destruction, are hallmarks of Plutonian power unleashed.

Another factor to consider regarding the eclipse influence, is that the Sun, Moon, and Mars were all out-of-bounds- at extreme declination, measured north and south of the equator. Out-of-bound planets tend to act like their on steroids

Analemma

From Mundane Chart Gallery

Explanation: If you took a picture of the Sun at the same time each day, would it remain in the same position? The answer is no, and the shape traced out by the Sun over the course of a year is called an analemma. The Sun's apparent shift is caused by the Earth's motion around the Sun when combined with the tilt of the Earth's rotation axis. The Sun will appear at its highest point of the analemma during summer and at its lowest during winter. Analemmas created from different Earth latitudes would appear at least slightly different, as well as analemmas created at a different time each day. The analemma pictured to the left was built up by Sun photographs taken from 1998 August through 1999 August from Ukraine. The foreground picture from the same location was taken during the early evening in 1999 July.

Earthquake Rocks Bonin Islands

A 7.4-magnitude earthquake has struck in the Pacific Ocean off southern Japan, the US Geological Survey says. The epicenter of the earthquake was 95 miles off the Bonin Islands, some 1,000km south-east of Tokyo. It struck at a depth of some 15km at 0220(1720GMT), sparking local tsunami warnings. There were no reports of casualties or damage.

We had been expecting possible major events or natural disasters in and around Japan since the July 12, 2010 total solar eclipse at 19 Cancer 24, that conjoined the Ascendant in Tokyo. But that eclipse did not seem to bear fruit as anticipated. Transiting Mars reaching 19 degrees of Capricorn(-180- eclipse degree) about Jan. 1, 2011, may be the last possible activation of this eclipse.

Today's earthquake occuring under the sea, is reflected by the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Pisces(oceans) on the eclipse Midheaven, with watery Cancer rising. The house with Cancer(ruled by the Moon) on the cusp is said to be afflicted at the lunar eclipse. The transiting Moon opposed Pluto of extremes and upheavals when the earthquake struck.

Eclipse and Earthquake

A powerful earthquake has hit south-eastern Iran, killing at least seven people and destroying several villages in Kerman province. The governor of Kerman said hundreds of people had been injured by the 6.5-magnitude quake. As we would expect, the Solstice Eclipse was sharply focused at the location of this disaster. In fact, the Sun-Moon axis is tightly on the meridian in Kerman, with the eclipsed Moon and it's South Node(loss & endings) at the IC(4th house cusp) of land, homes, and foundations. The four angles of the eclipse chart are precisely on the solstice and equinoctial points, or World Axis. The Ascendant = 0 Aries, the Midheaven = 0 Capricorn, the Descendant = 0 Libra, and the IC = 0 Cancer. A dramatic planetary picture, to say the least.

There Goes the Sun

By Richard Cohen:
"What is the winter solstice, and why bother to celebrate it, as so many people around the world will tomorrow? The word “solstice” derives from the Latin sol (meaning sun) and statum (stand still), and reflects what we see on the first days of summer and winter when, at dawn for two or three days, the sun seems to linger for several minutes in its passage across the sky, before beginning to double back.

Indeed, “turnings of the sun” is an old phrase, used by both Hesiod and Homer. The novelist Alan Furst has one of his characters nicely observe, “the day the sun is said to pause. ... Pleasing, that idea. ... As though the universe stopped for a moment to reflect, took a day off from work. One could sense it, time slowing down."

Solstice Lunar Eclipse

Rare Event: Upcoming Full Moon to Align With Solstice
From Joe Rao at SPACE.com:
"The Dec. 21 full moon— besides distinguishing itself from the others in 2010 by undergoing a total eclipse— will also take place on the same date as the solstice (the winter solstice if you live north of the equator, and the summer solstice if you live to the south).

Winter solstice is the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and marks the official beginning of winter. The sun is at its lowest in our sky because the North Pole of our tilted planet is pointing away from it.

So, how often does the December full moon coincide with the solstice? To answer this question, let's use Universal Time(UT), also sometimes referred to as Greenwich Mean Time(GMT). We do this because in answering this question, it's important to define a specific time zone.

For example, if you live in Honolulu, this December's full moon does not fall on the date of the solstice. Hawaii Time runs 10 hours behind GMT and the full moon occurs on Dec. 20 at 10:13 p.m. local time (Full Moon is on Dec. 21 at 0:13am PST or 3:13am EST), while the solstice comes the following day at 1:38 p.m. Alaska, too, will have the full moon and the solstice occur on these respective dates, but in a time zone one hour later than Hawaii.

But both the full moon and solstice do occur on the same date (Dec. 21) in Greenwich, as well across the United States and Canada. Prior to this year, there were solstice full moons in 1999 (Dec. 22) and 1980 (Dec. 21).

Interestingly, after this year, we'll have a long time to wait until we have a December full moon occur on the same date as the solstice: Dec. 21, 2094! And even more interesting– just like this year– that same full moon will fall into Earth's shadow in a total lunar eclipse. However, unlike this year, the 2094 eclipse will not be visible from the Western Hemisphere, but will be able to be seen from Europe, Africa and much of Asia.

Finally, this raises the question- prior to 2010, when was the last time that we had a total lunar eclipse occur on the same calendar date as the winter solstice? The answer, incredibly, takes us back nearly four centuries.

On Dec. 21, 1638, the full moon was in total eclipse from 1:12 to 2:47 UT. And the solstice occurred later in the day at 16:05 UT."

The Solstice Eclipse is powerfully placed here in San Francisco where the Sun-Moon axis is aligned with the local meridian, and also in London where the eclipsed Moon sets as the Sun rises.

This eclipse conjoins the star Betelgeuse. Influences: According to Ptolemy the bright stars with the exception of Betelgeuze and Bellatrix are like Jupiter and Saturn. It is said to give a strong and dignified nature, self-confidence, inconstancy, arrogance, violence, impiety, prosperity in trade and particularly by voyages or abroad, but danger of treachery and poison. It was thought by the Romans to be very harmful to cattle and productive of storms. By the Kabalists it is associated with the Hebrew letter Aleph and the 1st Tarot Trump "The Juggler." [Robson*, p.55.]

The Moon was conjunct Betelgeuse at 9/11 and the epic Sumatran earthquake-tsunami.

As noted above, this eclipse is aligned with our local meridian here in San Francisco. But the pre-eclipse set up does not seem to indicate the prospect of a natural disaster, etc.

*****************Quote of the Day*****************
Thy shadow, Earth, from Pole to Central Sea,
Now steals along upon the Moon's meek shine
In even monochrome and curving line Of imperturbable serenity.
How shall I link such sun-cast symmetry
With the torn troubled form I know as thine,
That profile, placid as a brow divine,
With continents of moil and misery?

Astrology Proven Scientific

Principle of astrology proven to be scientific: planetary position imprints biological clocks of mammals

From NaturalNews:
"Mention the word "astrology" and skeptics go into an epileptic fit. The idea that someone's personality could be imprinted at birth according to the position of the sun, moon and planets has long been derided as "quackery" by the so-called "scientific" community which resists any notion based on holistic connections between individuals and the cosmos.

According to the conventional view, your genes and your parenting determine your personality, and the position of planet Earth at the time of your birth has nothing to do with it.

Then again, conventional scientists don't believe the position of the moon has anything to do with life on Earth, either. They dismiss the wisdom that farmers have known for ages -- that planting seeds or transplanting living plants in harmony with the moon cycles results in higher crop yields. Even the seeds inside humans are strongly influenced by the moon, as menstruation cycles and moon cycles are closely synchronized (28 days, roughly)."

Prince Charles & Dec. 21 Eclipse

From an article at www.guardian.co.uk:
"A car containing Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, was attacked last night as a wave of protest swept through central London in the wake of a Commons vote to force through a trebling of university tuition fees for students in England.

Protesters cracked windows and threw paint on the Rolls-Royce after it became separated from its police escort and was surrounded by demonstrators who had spilled into the West End after an initially peaceful demonstration outside parliament rapidly deteriorated and spread.

One, Ben Kelsey, said: "There were 400 to 500 protesters there. It was fairly obvious who was in the car. It was very well lit up. Charles and Camilla looked quite relaxed at first but when they saw how many people there were they began to get worried. A few seconds later the area was packed with police. It was complete chaos."

The royal couple had looked visibly shaken when they arrived at the London Palladium for the Royal Variety performance, but Camilla later joked about the incident, saying: "First time for everything" as she left the theatre."

The Dec. 21 total lunar eclipse that sets in London, is activating the highly charged Uranus-180-Jupiter in Prince Charles' natal horoscope. It's clear from this incident that the eclipse is already casting a shadow in the UK where it's sharply focused by angularity, and the protests by irate students there have been unusually intense.
