According to Italian physicist and complex systems analyst Dr. Gianluigi, the Loop Current in the Gulf of Mexico has stalled as a consequence of the BP oil spill disaster. He further notes that the effects of this stall have also begun to spread to the Gulf Stream. This is because the Loop Current is a crucial element of the Gulf Stream itself and why it is commonly referred to as the “main engine” of the Stream.

The concern is whether or not natural processes can re-establish the stalled Loop Current. If not, we could begin to see global crop failures as early as 2011, as a result of these man-caused Earth Changes.

This is scary, and fortunately, unsubstantiated. But it does appear that the city of New Orleans is a sort of 'ground zero' for the dramatic linkage of two planetary cycles with relevance to the environment. These are the 128 year Uranus-Pluto cycle that began 10/4/65, and the 20 year Jupiter-Saturn('Great Conjunction') cycle born on 5/28/00.

The Uranus-Pluto conjunctions of 1965-66 in the earth sign of Virgo, correlated with a mass awakening to environmental and ecological concerns, i.e. pollution, sustainability, etc. While the May 28, 2000 Jupiter-Saturn conjunction at 23 Taurus(earth sign), is the last of a series that began in 1842 with the start of the modern, industrial revolution, and a period of seemingly unlimited natural resources.

Moreover, these two key cycles that are synchronously joined in New Orleans, are both in crucial phases of unfoldment. Although the first of seven exact Uranus-Pluto squares that suggest massive change and revolutionary upheavals does not occur until 6/24/12- coincidental with the Mayan prophecies of 2012, these planets are already having an effect. And the current Full Moon phase(opposition) of Jupiter and Saturn- the 'great chronocrators'(rulers of time), from May 2010 to April 2011, marks the peak of a cycle related to the natural ebb and flow of empires and economies, that ends in 2020.

Disaster stricken New Orleans is a focal point of the world trends reflected by the linkage of two major cycles informing a growing environmental and ecological consciousness, that may be imperative to our survival on planet earth.

"At least 17 people have been killed at the Love Parade dance music festival in the German city of Duisburg. Police had been trying to stop people reaching the parade area because of overcrowding. But the revellers panicked at a tunnel entrance. About 100 people were also injured, dozens seriously.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has sent her condolences to the family and friends of the victims. "Young people came to party. Instead, there was death and injury. I am aghast and saddened by the sorrow and the pain," she said.

More than one million people were believed to have attended the event. The stampede occurred at about 1700 local time(1500 GMT)."

Mentioned previously, the Cancer solar ingress(summer solstice) Pluto(extreme-destructive events)- part of an angular grand cross in Berlin, got triggered by the June 26 lunar eclipse-0-Pluto. This Full Moon eclipse axis fell tightly on the meridian in Germany. And the waxing Jupiter-Pluto square(exact Aug. 3) of excessive(JU) power(PL), is activating the eclipse chart angles now.

The Cancer ingress map cast for Duisburg has Saturn spot on the Ascendant, and the fixed star Betelgeuse(29 Gemini) conjunct the Midheaven. (The Moon of 9/11 and the 12/26/04 tsunami were both conjoined Betelgeuse.)

On July 25 WikiLeaks released the so-called Afghan War Diaries, which over 91,000 reports written by soldiers and intelligence officers, that describe lethal actions involving the U.S. military, along with intelligence information. The disclosure of these documents will increase pressure on President Obama to defend his military strategy as Congress prepares to vote on financing the war in Afghanistan.

The disclosures, with their detailed account of a war faring poorly, landed at a crucial moment. Because of difficulties on the ground and mounting casualties in the war, the debate over the American presence in Afghanistan has begun earlier than expected. On July 27 detailed reports on Osama Bin Laden dating from 2006, have emerged from the US military files leaked to the Wikileaks website. The Pentagon is investigating who leaked the classified documents, in an act the White House says could harm national security.

Perhaps the most shocking accusations in these reports claim that Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence agency(ISI) have directed or planned insurgent attacks in Afghanistan, even as U.S. taxpayers fund the Pakistani government.

And on the morning of July 28, a Pakistani passenger plane(Airblue A321) crashed in fog and intense rain near the capital city of Islamabad, killing all 152 people on board- an event related to the planetary tension focused in the region by the final Saturn-Uranus aspect.

Finally, BBC reports on July 29 that the worst monsoon floods in living memory have killed at least 800 people and affected one million in north-west Pakistan.

Astrologically- the planet Saturn relates to control, containment, and boundaries of various sorts- while Uranus signifies the impulse to upset, disrupt, break free, and rebel against authority and control. Barack Obama was elected President on the day of the first Saturn-Uranus opposition. And the polarization in the U.S. between the left and the right, the Dems and the GOP, has intensified to ridiculous extremes.

Passing Into the Energy Cloud

"On Christmas Eve, 2009, the startling hypothesis that our Solar System, the Sun and all its planets, are moving into a potentially dangerous and destabilizing interstellar energy cloud, was resoundingly sustained. In their research paper, "A strong, highly-tilted interstellar magnetic field near the Solar System," published the December 24, 2009 issue of Nature, a highly respected scientific journal, M. Opher et al report on data transmitted from Voyager, the twin spacecraft that have been exploring the outer reaches of the Solar System since 1977.

"We have discovered a strong magnetic field just outside the solar system. This magnetic field holds the interstellar energy cloud together and solves the long-standing puzzle of how it can exist at all," says Opher, a NASA Heliophysics Guest Investigator from George Mason University. He explains that this energy cloud is at least twice as strong as had previously been predicted and that the Solar System has begun to pass into it, adding that this field "is turbulent or has a distortion in the solar vicinity."
