The Haiti-Chile Quake Connection

The Jan. 12 Haiti quake, and the Feb. 27 earthquake in Chile, were both on the same line of geographic longitude...about 73 degrees West. The annular solar eclipse of Jan. 15, 2010 featured Jupiter, Neptune, and Chiron, precisely on the IC(-180- Midheaven) along this longitude- perhaps sensitizing it to underwater seismic activity(Jupiter-0-Neptune), and related tsunamis.

We can see, with the gift of hindsight, that the ACG(AstroCartoGraphy) map for the solar eclipse, did clearly foreshadow major events in Haiti and along Chile's coast.

Also of note, are the tremendous hits to Chile's mundane horoscope:
1. Jan. 15, 2010 solar eclipse fell opposite Chile's radix Ascendant(state of the nation and it's people).
2. Transiting Pluto is opposing the nation's radix Mars(ruler of the 4th house- land & foundations). Mars-Pluto contacts suggest 'superhuman power, force, and brutality' according to Reinhold Ebertin.
3. Transiting Pluto is square Chile's progressed Mercury(ruler of the 2nd house- money). The clean up will run into the billions and take years.
4. Transiting Uranus is conjunct Chile's natal Pluto(modern ruler of 4th) in 8th house of death & loss. Ebertin has for Mars/Pluto, 'The collapse of the old order of things, the construction of the new. Revolution. Building on the ruins of the old.'
5. And the Mercury-Neptune-Chiron conjunction is on Chile's progressed Ascendant.

Saturn-Pluto Discoveries

The ancient pyramids of Caral(Peru) were discovered in 1948 at the Saturn-Pluto conjunction, but did not receive much attention until the 2001 Saturn-Pluto opposition. Astrologically- Pluto relates to the process of unearthing something that's been hidden, and Saturn signifies ancient structures.

A more recent find linked to the current Saturn-Pluto square:
"Hebrew University archaeologists have revealed an ancient path in Jerusalem believed to date back to the time of King Solomon, along with structures including a gateway and the foundation of a building. Dr. Eilat Mazar, the leader of the archaeological dig, said the findings match finds from the time of the First Temple."

Maya Cosmogenesis 2012

A review by Curtis McCosco:

Origin of the Mayan Calendar
Creation myth, cosmology, the ballgame, history are all brought together under the galactic arc of the Milky Way in John Major Jenkins’ book Maya Cosmogenesis 2012, an impressively erudite work that sheds new light on an ancient enigma; the Mayan Calendar and its imposing end date, December 21, 2012.

I wish I’d had this book on my fateful journey to Yucatan in 1980 instead of Sylvanus Morley’s The Ancient Maya, a stalwart classic of MesoAmerican studies. Jenkins had not yet turned his curiosity and powerful analytical skills toward the great Mayan civilization. His odyssey would begin in 1986 and soon focus on the newly uncovered site of Izapa, center of an enormously influential proto-mayan culture that flourished between 250 BC and 50 AD.

Jenkins presents carefully articulated evidence of Izapa as the origin of the Mayan Calendar and the ball game as its physical expression. Furthermore he clarifies the story line of the Popul Vuh and reveals that the Maya, like other ancient civilizations read their founding myths first in the night sky and the rhythms of the sun and moon, then found correlates in the affairs of humans.

From a solid platform of admittedly controversial scholarship, Jenkins then takes an adventurous intellectual leap into the twilight realm of myth.
