The last solar eclipse(6 Aquarius 30) of Jan. 26, 2009, fell exactly on the First Flight Saturn- ancient ruler of the Aquarius Ascendant. This Saturn conjoins Mars, in an 'accident prone' planetary aspect. And the current transit of Uranus to the First Flight Sun-Uranus conjunction seems important, given that a few recent crashes involved mostly French passengers, and this natal Sun-0-Uranus is angular in Paris. Moreover- Uranus, the modern significator of flight and technology, is stationary now, and it's influence is thus more concentrated.
The planetary lines for the First Flight Sun-0-Uranus that's being triggered by Uranus, run just south of where Flight IY626 went down June 30. The Node IC line in the First Flight chart, cuts right through the Comoros islands- exactly where the airbus fell into the water. Transiting Pluto began squaring these Nodes back in April 2009, and will continue to do so, on and off, into the Fall of 2010. But it seems clear, that the Uranus transit to the First Flight Sun-Uranus is a key timing factor in these tragic air incidents.
Looking ahead- it will interesting to see if Mars transiting the critical degree zone of 21 - 26 Gemini(mutable) marks a rash of air related events, from Aug 8 to Aug. 20, 2009.
