A local event with the radical Mars-Uranus aspect in high focus.
"A tanker truck exploded early Sunday morning on the connector ramp from westbound Interstate-80 to Interstate-580 eastward, causing the upper deck of the ramp to melt and collapse onto the lower deck.
The oil tanker had exploded and triggered a fire at 3:42 a.m. on the section of freeway known as the MacArthur Maze. Firefighters had to contend with extreme heat in battling the blaze; that heat was blamed for causing the connector collapse.
San Jose-based structural engineer John Coyle said the intense heat likely compromised the integrity of the steel that supported the connector ramp, causing it to melt. The driver of the tanker was hospitalized, suffering from second degree burns."(CBS5)
The current Saturn-Neptune opposition, was also behind this incident. The structural(Saturn) collapse(Neptune) of the freeway, is helping engineers understand how the integrity of such construction, is compromised under duress.

Baghdad's Horoscope

"With the recent U.S. diplomatic moves against Iraq, possibly leading to war, that country is very much in the news again. Mundane astrologers generally consider Aries (and other quarterly) Ingresses, eclipses, and conjunctions to assess the political prospects for a country. In the case of Iraq, we are fortunate in having the actual foundation chart of its capital city. Examination of primary and secondary progressions in that chart and current transits may shed some light on its present and future situation. They also provide an unusual opportunity to examine these astrological techniques, since few foundation charts for major cities are available.
In one of his books, the 11th century astronomer/astrologer/scholar al-Bîrûnî has preserved the foundation chart of the city of Baghdad. The Caliph al-Mansûr (c.679-777) desired to build a new capital city. He told his court astrologer, Nawbakht the Persian (c.679-777), to select a favorable time to begin construction. Nawbakht, with the assistance of the young Mâshâ'allâh (c.740-c.815) and other prominent astrologers of the time, selected the early afternoon of 4 Jumada I 145 A.H., which is equivalent to Saturday 31 July 762 in the Julian calendar."

Al Qaeda and Fomalhaut
The April 11 car bombings in Algiers, and the April 12 suicide bombing of Iraq's Parliament in the Green Zone(Baghdad), occurred as Mars(violence-attacks) conjoined the royal star Fomalhaut. It appears that Al Qaeda has an affinity with Fomalhaut, and that the group's extended network carried out these attacks. The transit of Mars to Fomalhaut was the trigger, imo.

Osama bin Laden and the World Islamic Front published their 'fatwa' (religious edict) in a London newspaper(Al Quds Al Arabi) on Feb. 23, 1998. This fatwa was a formal declaration of global jihad against all ‘Jews and crusaders'- and a call to arms for Islamic extremists.
The Fatwa horoscope has the Sun and Jupiter, conjunct Fomalhaut. This Pisces Sun-Jupiter conjunction, squaring Pluto in Sagittarius, suggests religious zeal, and intense faith- but also hubris, and religious extremism. (French astrologer Andre Barbault relates the 12 year Jupiter-Pluto cycle to the growth of international terrorism.)

MARCH 11, 2004 MADRID TRAIN BOMBINGS
The Moroccan Islamic Combatant Group(GICM) was held responsible for the 3/11/04 synchronized bombings of commuter trains in Madrid. This extremist group was inspired by Al Qaeda- and there's some evidence that a few of it's members trained with Al Qaeda in Afghanistan. The radical planet Uranus(84 yr. cycle) conjoined Fomalhaut, for the first of three passes, in March 2004.
ATTACK ON THE GOLDEN SHRINE
The Feb. 22, 2006 bombing of the golden domed Al Askari mosque in Samarra, Iraq, occurred with the Sun conjunct Fomalhaut. This attack was carried out by insurgents with ties to Al Qaeda in Iraq- and set off the civil war of sectarian violence between Shiite and Sunni.

This total lunar eclipse at 5 Pisces, is the 19 year echo(Metonic cycle) of Al Qaeda's pre-natal eclipse, that conjoined Fomalhaut. The eclipse chart for D.C., shows the Moon setting, as the Sun rises at the capital. Therefore, the eclipse is quite powerful for the U.S.- emphasizing issues of war vs. peace, international relations, and 'open enemies'(7th house matters). The mutable grand square/cross in effect, between the Nodes, Mars, and Jupiter- suggests fluid, changeable circumstances.
This eclipse highlights not only Fomalhaut, but also several other of the most important stars. Jupiter is conjunct the royal star Antares, Scorpii. "A binary star, fiery red and emerald green, situated on the body of the Scorpion. From Anti Ares- the rival of Mars. It was one of the four Royal star of Persia in 3000 B.C., when as Watcher of the West it marked the Autumnal Equinox. Sometimes called Shiloh and Cor Scoprpio, the Scorpion's Heart. Influence: Antares has a decidedly martial and malefic nature. It causes malevolence, evil presages and danger of fatality... Influence: It gives violence, destructiveness, military honour of short duration, with ultimate failure, imprisonment, violent death, success, high and lofty ideals and strength of spirit..." But we should'nt necessarily conclude that this synchronicity indicates an attack on the homefront- although it might foreshadow an attack against U.S. interests abroad.
The confluence of an eclipse, with the activation of four major stars, suggests extraordinary, world events- especially in the Middle East.
